Hello there! I’m René Bancroft—a trauma-informed, biblically grounded life coach, writer, and storyteller.
I’ve loved Jesus since I was eight years old, and my life has been a patchwork of grace, growth, and unexpected turns ever since. My childhood was filled with many stories that impacted how I allowed others to define me instead of telling others who I was.
In college, I was drawn to psychology— I wanted to know why people were the way they were. My B.A. in Psychology gave me a compassionate lens towards others. By learning why we are the way we are, my innate empathy had a framework to rely on.
After college, I married and started my family. As a mother, I learned I had so much love to give, but I was surprised to find out there was a lot of anger there too! I listened to God gently, sometimes loudly, tell me that it was time to heal. This started a decades long journey towards my own uncovering and retelling of my stories of harm. I now am a Freedom Academy Certified Trauma-Informed Coach, which is a program that teaches StoryWork.
It would be my honor to walk with you toward healing and hope.
In the past decade alone, my family has grown, I’m now a grandmother, and I’ve moved halfway across the country from Southern California to Tennessee. I traded in peacocks for vultures in my backyard— trust me, I know life transitions!
With more than 30 years of experience in mentoring and discipleship, I’ve come to believe that healing is possible, and God loves to restore what has been broken. It is a privilege to have walked alongside so many women seeking healing and transformation. I’m also a speaker, writer, and mentor to college students—each role giving me opportunities to champion women toward wholeness, clarity, and confidence in Christ.
I bring a unique blend of insight, faith, and practical guidance to each session.
